A Christmas Carol

Based on the book by Charles Dickens
Adapted, directed, and choreographed by ROBERT JAY CRONIN
Lyrics by ROBERT JAY CRONIN & ANGELYN FULLARTON
Original music and musical direction by ANGELYN FULLARTON

December 2-23, 2004

A spirit-filled adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic story. Come celebrate the season with the Crachits, Jacob Marley, good ol' Fezziwig, and all the rest as three holiday spirits lead Ebenezer Scrooge on a journey like no other.

After remaining unchanged for four years, Stoneham Theatre revitalizes its holiday tradition with a new musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic featuring fourteen original songs, plus your favorite carols. Audiences may still expect to see a traditional production with beautiful scenery and costumes, joyful music, and spirit-filled performances. In addition, Dale Place, who has played Ebenezer Scrooge for three of the past four years, will return in the leading role alongside actors from previous casts.

This new adaptation has been produced only once before, last year at Northern Stage in Vermont where it received rave reviews from critics and audiences. The Montpelier Times-Argus says "it's a musical theatre version that meets today's needs for spectacle, yet successfully grips its audience with Dickens' simple poignant message."

Join the thousands of families who've made A Christmas Carol at Stoneham Theatre their holiday tradition.
