At Stoneham Theatre, groups of 10 or more are entitled to special discounts, plus a little extra attention. In addition to offering 10 - 30% off our standard ticket prices, we'll work with you to coordinate a meal or catered reception, lead a tour of Stoneham Theatre, host a talkback with the actors, or provide anything else that might make your experience extra-special.
Weekday group and student matinee performances may also be available for our Mainstage productions. Student matinees begin at 10am, week day matinees begin at 2pm, and both, upon request, are followed by an opportunity to speak with actors, directors, and designers involved with the production.
To schedule a trip for your group, or for more information about group rates and policies, call Carol Dempsey, Group Sales Coordinator, at 781.279.7885x105 or email groups@stonehamtheatre.org.

Kids4Kids
Now Presenting Kids4Kids:Twelfth Night and introducing our first non-Shakespeare production, Go, Dog! Go.
Twelfth Night: this romantic comedy of lost twins and mixed-up identities is the perfect introduction to Shakespeare (especially when you throw in puppets and squirt guns!) Intended for 4th-8th grade.
Go, Dog. Go!: this adapattion of the classic easy read books by P.D. Eastman is sure to grab young audiences, with its catchy jazz inflected score and physical antics. Intended for K-3rd grade.
Kids4Kids: Twelfth Night and Go, Dog. Go!, co-productions of Playhouse Education and Stoneham Theatre, a professional regional theatre with help from a grant from the MELD foundation. The program is co-directed by Joy Lamberton, Artistic Director of Playhouse Education and recipient of a 2008 MCC Creative Teaching Partner Fellowship and Caitlin Lowans, Director of Education at Stoneham and professional director. Both directors received an EdM. in Arts in Education from Harvard University.
Now in its third year, Kids4Kids is committed to creating a peer-to-peer learning experience for its elementary and middle school audience. By introducing Shakespeare's stories in modern English, then transitioning into the early modern English of Shakespeare, this program makes Twelfth Night's poetry accessible to its audience. By employing clowning and music, Go, Dog. Go! provides exciting visual and aural complements to literacy for young readers. By utilizing teen performers for teen and pre-teen audiences, both Kids4Kids shows encourage the audience to consider their own potential as performers.
Each production is designed to fit within a class period; we also offer study guides with direct ties to curriculum frameworks, talk backs with the cast and hands-on workshops with the audiences. Through Kids4Kids, twenty four advanced young actors will have the opportunity to explore their own potential through great works of literature, and 750 young students will have the opportunity not only to experience these works, but also to awaken to their own potential as performers through our 45-minute version of Shakespeare's comedy, followed by a talkback with the actors.
