Stoneham Theatre's Education Mission
Through the creation of inspiring live theatre, the young company at Stoneham Theatre develops confidence, self-discipline and collaboration to prepare young actors for future success. the young company offers diverse year-round programs for students in grades 1 - 12 taught in a professional theatre environment.
Introducing live theatre to young people is one of the most important things we do. the young company at Stoneham Theatre gives students grades 1-12 the chance to explore the experience of performing in a friendly, fun environment. Throughout the year, students may participate in workshops, rehearsals, and performances designed to develop important skills like teamwork and self-confidence.

the young co. is divided into four 'acts' based on the age of the students:
- overture is for students in grades 1 to 3
- act 1 is for students in grades 4 to 6
- act 2 is for students in grades 7 to 9
- act 3 is of students in grades 10 to 12

Opportunities include spring and fall workshops, intensive winter and summer programs culminating in performance opportunities and year-round training for advanced high school students through the Resident Youth Ensemble.
